Techies create The Departing Point

Santosh Avvannavar studied M.Tech at NITK, Surathkal, and then started his career as a Consultant and Soft Skills Trainer. He was also a researcher at the University of Eindhoven, University of Twente and Indian Institute of Science.  As a Consultant he has assisted in the branding activities of five Startup companies one of which is a Software Lab. He co-founded Hoffen, India.

Santosh, who has also penned a series of articles for Vijay Times newspaper, had written his first novel Adhuri Prem Kahaniya (English). A key theme of the book is that the weakness of a man is the strength of a woman which is receiving. On Oct 20, 2013, Miss Bangalore Kavita Shah launched his book.

Since then, Santosh has co-authored a number of popular books.

Santosh Avvannavar, Jyothi Byahatti and Raghunath Babu have released their latest book ‘The Departing Point’. It was released by the highly regarded Geeta Gowri, who works as a Quality Expert at an IT MNC in Bengaluru, in April 2015.

The Departing Point is about seven different stories which due to some circumstances did not have a happy ending, but are narrated in a humorous way that wouldn’t make readers sad. It is focused on the issue of love and the social institutions that enable it in urban and rural India.

The book is available for order now on Amazon, Pothi at moment and will be available at Flipkart very soon.

Jyothi Byahatti has done an MBA in HR & Marketing from Karnataka University, Dharwad and started her career as a banker with ICICI Bank Ltd. She has also worked as a Recruitment Consultant with an executive search firm. She moved on for a short stint in teaching with T John College, Bangalore in the department of Management Studies. Jyothi got involved in proof reading and editing a few books, which inspired her to start writing stories.

Raghunath Babu is the author of ‘Title is Untitled’. He holds B.E., M.Tech (IISc, Bangalore) and has, over 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer at Yahoo! and Microsoft India. He is an alumnus of IISc, Bangalore.
