Exevo sacks Rocket Singh gang By Annie
New York head quartered Exevo is a leading research outsourcing firm with a huge base in India. Early 2010, it started operations in Beijing as well. Exevo describes its niche as providing comprehensive survey programming, data analytics and business research services to Market Research and consulting organizations globally. Is clients are in USA, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Founded in 2002, Exevo has offices in London and New York and delivery centres in New Delhi and Beijing, China. It is a 30 percent employee owned company.
Techgoss had learnt that in early October, 2010, about 6 Exevo employees under the guidance of Senior Manager Mr. Singh were caught red handed running their company inside Exevo.
Of these six, 1 was a Senior Manager, 2 were Team Leaders and the rest were seniors working in the company for more than 2 years and slated for promotion in the near future.
Even as they worked for Exevo, they set up their own company and sold Exevo data (gleaned from surveys) to clients at discounted rates. Like the movie Rocket Singh, they were running a parallel company within the company.
The matter came to light when executives from Copal partners came to India and caught them red handed. Exevo is a subsidiary unit of Copal partners.
Exevo sacked all the 6 people with immediate affect. Two of them were on leave when Exevo stumbled on to the private business being run from their offices. They were not even allowed to reenter the premises.
